Rolex Yacht-Master II
Regatta at the wrist
Equipped with a programmable countdown timer of 1 to 10 minutes with mechanical memory, the Yacht-Master II was specifically designed for regatta sailing. Ensuring a perfectly timed start, it is the chosen instrument of demanding sailors.
Programmable countdown function
The Yacht-Master II’s countdown function can be programmed to match the duration of a regatta start sequence. Its blue countdown hand and red disc are positioned on the dial for optimum readability of the time remaining before the race begins.
Ring Command system
An interactive mechanical bezel
The bidirectional rotatable Ring Command bezel on the Yacht-Master II mechanically interacts with the movement, allowing the countdown to be programmed and synchronised. It is the first programmable mechanical interface between the bezel and the movement of a wristwatch.
Calibre 4161
Performance and reliability
The Yacht-Master II is powered by calibre 4161, a chronograph mechanical movement with programmable countdown and mechanical memory, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. It incorporates major innovations including the patented Ring Command bezel.
Superlative Chronometer certification
Like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master II is covered by the Superlative Chronometer certification. This designation testifies that every watch leaving the brand’s workshops has successfully undergone a series of tests conducted by Rolex in its own laboratories according to its own criteria. The precision of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day and is coupled with a five-year guarantee.
