From 4 to 6 June 2026, Maison Louis Julian joins Longines in Cannes for the French stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour, one of the world's premier show jumping events.
A shared story, six generations apart
Since 1862, Maison Louis Julian has been telling the same story on rue d'Antibes. The story of a Cannes family, six generations strong, who turned watchmaking and jewellery into a craft of transmission.
Longines was founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier, in the Swiss Jura. Its emblem, a winged hourglass, is today one of the oldest registered watchmaking trademarks in the world. The brand is part of the Swatch Group, the world's leading watch manufacturer, and is present in more than 150 countries.
Two Maisons, two heritages, one shared conviction: precision is a promise you keep over time.
Longines and the equestrian world, more than 150 years of companionship
The bond between Longines and equestrianism is almost as old as the brand itself. In 1869, Longines produced what is, to this day, its earliest known pocket watch with an equestrian motif. Nine years later, in 1878, the manufacture filed its first chronograph movement, the 20H, operated by a single pusher integrated into the crown, and housed in a case engraved with a jockey and his mount. This type of timepiece quickly became very popular with horse owners and enthusiasts, and by the late 19th century had been adopted by judges on North American racecourses.
In 1912, Longines reached a new milestone by timing its first show jumping competition, in Lisbon. It marked the beginning of a relationship that has never since been broken.
In 2013, the brand signed a historic agreement with the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), becoming its Top Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch. The partnership was renewed and expanded in 2017, and now includes the Longines Rankings, which list more than 3,300 riders around the world, as well as the Longines League of Nations.
Today, Longines' commitment to equestrian sports spans four disciplines: show jumping, dressage, eventing and flat racing.
Cannes, 4 to 6 June 2026
Every year, the Longines Global Champions Tour brings together some of the world's finest show jumping riders in exceptional venues. The Cannes stage is one of the highlights of the season. For three days, the competition runs at the highest level, where every hundredth of a second sets exploit apart from ordinary performance.
Maison Louis Julian is proud to accompany Longines for this stage.
The Longines HydroConquest, Official Watch of the 2026 Tour
Longines has chosen the HydroConquest as the Official Watch of the Tour. The reference selected, L3.779.4.90.6, embodies what the brand has stood for from the start: precision serving performance, in an elegant and contemporary style.
To discover it, 75 rue d'Antibes, our boutique dedicated to watchmaking opened in early 2024, will feature it in a dedicated window throughout the event.
Elegance, Tradition, Performance
If our two Maisons work together, it is because they share the same values: Tradition, Elegance, Performance, and that pursuit of excellence which drives riders and watchmakers alike. Longines' signature, "Elegance is an attitude", could just as well have been that of Maison Louis Julian.
Maison Louis Julian is proud to accompany Longines, Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Cannes.
